Trent Reznor's How to destroy angels_ are getting quiet on their new single.
The minimalist, glitchy "Keep It Together" is the first single from the group's upcoming "An omen_" EP, due Nov. 13 on Columbia. The group's new music comes with a punctuation update, with an underscore now part of the band name.
The band, which features the Nine Inch Nails frontman; his wife, singer Mariqueen Maandig; and longtime collaborators Atticus Ross and Rob Sheridan, announced signing to the major in September after several years of Reznor operating in D.I.Y. mode.
"Complete independent releasing has its great points but also comes with shortcomings," he wrote on Facebook at the time.
It's the group's first release since its 2010 self-titled EP, minus a Bryan Ferry cover done for "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" soundtrack released in December 2011.
The "An omen_" EP will be followed by the band's first full-length album, due in spring 2013. See the track list below:
1 Keep it together
2 Ice age
3 On the wing
4 The sleep of reason produces monsters
