After weeks of anticipation, the video for the collaborative track premiered on "The X Factor" on Wednesday night. The Fox show -- which Spears judges -- finally aired the video toward the conclusion of its broadcast, with the new song trending on Twitter as fans waited for its debut.
Will.i.am Breaks Down the Collab
"When we up in the club/all eyes on us," numerous Spears command in a British accent and a couture outfit. Multiplicity is the theme of the video, with a number of Will.i.ams and Spears dancing against a empty white backdrop and in a monochrome club.
The video also features Will.i.am's extra-musical projects, including his i.am+ social network and iPhone camera add-on -- and flaming disco balls, which you won't find in stores.
The producer-MC discussed the song with Billboard on the American Music Awards red carpet earlier this month, revealing that the collaboration was long in the making.
TRACK REVIEW: Will.i.am and Britney Spears, 'Scream & Shout'
"We've been planning on working with each other on my project for two years now," he said, explaining that Spears was returning the favor after he produced her "Femme Fatale" track "Big Fat Bass."
The song is the latest from the Black Eyed Peas frontman's upcoming solo album, "#willpower," which was pushed back to 2013 after track leaks. Will.i.am has released a number of singles from the album so far, including "T.H.E. (The Hardest Ever)," which featured Jennifer Lopez and Mick Jagger.
