Aerosmith, J.Lo to Perform on 'Idol,' Says Nigel Lythgoe
"American Idol" executive producer Nigel Lythgoe revealed that Steven Tyler (and his Aerosmith cohorts) and Jennifer Lopez will perform at some point during "Idol" season 10. When asked if we'd see Aerosmith and J-Lo perform on the finale, Lythgoe replied, "It will probably be before that, actually." (Fancast's xfinityTV.com)
Bon Jovi: 'Steve Jobs Is Killing the Music Business'
Jon Bon Jovi is accusing Apple co-founder Steve Jobs of "killing" the music industry with iTunes. "I hate to sound like an old man now, but I am, and you mark my words, in a generation from now people are going to say: 'What happened?'" Bon Jovi told UK's Sunday Times Magazine. Justin Bieber's 'Never Say Never' Brought Jason Bateman to Tears
This morning (Mar. 15) on "Live With Regis & Kelly," "Arrested Development" actor Jason Bateman used the opportunity to give unlikely praise to Justin Bieber's "touching" 3D documentary "Never Say Never." "About midway through the movie, I'm bawling like a little schoolgirl," Bateman told Kelly (who said she also bawled) and Regis (who did not). (New York Magazine)
Madonna's Home Broken Into, Polish Man Charged
The man who allegedly broke into Madonna's London home has been charged with burglary. Grzegorz Matlok was charged by police Mar. 14 and accused of entering the singer's home by smashing a window. Matlok, who was born in Poland, has reportedly stalked Madonna prior to the attempted burglary. (NME)
Ke$ha's Face To Adorn Condom Wrappers
Ke$ha has reportedly signed a deal with LifeStyles for a custom brand of condoms. The pop singer's face will be found on the wrapper of each condom, which will be given away at her shows (no word yet if they will be for sale as well). Ten thousands of the condoms will reportedly be manufactured. (AOL Music)
The Band's Robbie Robertson Hires Dawes As Backing Act
To support his upcoming album "How to Become Clairvoyant," former member of The Band, Robbie Robertson has enlisted folk rock band Dawes to act as his backing band. Currently, nothing is planned outside of a few television and potential festival appearances. Says Robertson: "They're really good and they're a band -- it's different than just getting a bunch of individual musicians and trying to make them click and blend. The guys are already in the blend, so that's great. They're all at the top of their game. I'm the one that's a little rusty." ( Rolling Stone)
