Stefano Langone sang his swan song on tonight's (Apr. 21) "American Idol," as the singer, who's been on the chopping block repeatedly, was eliminated from the competition.
After 52 million votes were counted, according to host Ryan Seacrest, Langone was sent to the bottom three, where he was joined by fellow hopefuls Jacob Lusk and Haley Reinhart.

Seacrest called Stefano a contestant with an "amazing attitude each and every week" during the singer's emotional send-off. Langone told the crowd that "Idol" had been a "priceless" experience that "started his career," then crooned his farewell song, "Lately."
In addition to Langone's elimination, tonight's episode brought season seven champion David Cook back to the stage, where he debuted his new single "The Last Goodbye."
"American Idol" returns next Wednesday with the contestants tackling the songs of Carole King, while Bruno Mars and season 9 runner-up Crystal Bowersox will perform on the elimination episode Thursday.
