Bieber won the People's Voice best comedy video award, for his takeover of FunnyorDie.com on April Fool's Day 2010. The humor website, which was founded by Will Ferrell and Adam McKay, walked away with eight Webbys, the most of any website this year.
Fellow Canadians Arcade Fire won the Webby and People's Voice award for best experimental and weird short video, for its interactive clip "The Wilderness Downtown" that employed Google technology and a 3D canvas rendering.
Snoop Dogg and LL Cool J, meanwhile, earned a People's Voice Webby for best branded entertainment, for their "Ultimate Halo Smack Down" collaboration.
Other celebrity Webby winners included comedian Zach Galifianakis, who won four awards including best web personality/host and best online variety show; Conan O'Brien, whose TeamCoco.com won the Webby and People's Voice for best celebrity/fan website; and Jim Carrey, who won the People's Voice for best individual performance in an online video, for his turn in "Funny or Die's Presidential Reunion.
