Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez Among Billboard Music Awards Presenters
Justin Bieber, Kylie Minogue, Jada Pinkett Smith, Joe Jonas, Keri Hilson, Marc Anthony, "Glee" star Matthew Morrison, Nas, Scott Weiland, Selena Gomez, Tim Allen, Travis Barker, Trey Songz and "Modern Family" star Rico Rodriguez have been announced as presenters for the 2011 Billboard Music Awards, which will air Sunday (May 22) at 8-11pm ET/PT on ABC from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
The presenters join an already star-studded list of BBMA attendees, including performers the Black Eyed Peas, Rihanna, Keith Urban, Taio Cruz, Cee Lo Green, Nicki Minaj, Pitbull, Ke$ha, Ne-Yo, Far*East Movement and OneRepublic. Beyoncé will receive the 2011 Billboard Millennium Award for her career achievements.
Bieber will take the stage fresh off the success of his "My World 2.0" album and "Justin Bieber: Never Say Never" biopic, while R&B star Trey Songz scored hits like "Bottoms Up" and "Can't Be Friends over the last year, during which rock veteran Scott Weiland helped a reunited Stone Temple Pilots return to the top of the Billboard 200. "Glee" standout Matthew Morrison, who released his self-titled debut album earlier this month, will be joined by Jada Pinkett Smith and Marc Anthony, who will star in the TNT drama "Hawthorne" this June, as well as Tim Allen, the former "Home Improvement" star who is set to return to ABC on the upcoming sitcom, "Last Man Standing."
Rihanna, Eminem, Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber lead the finalists for the 2011 Billboard Music Awards, which were announced in April at a press conference in Las Vegas. Hosted by Ken Jeong, the awards will take a holistic look at artist performance based on key fan interactions with music, including sales data shared by Nielsen SoundScan, radio airplay monitored by Nielsen BDS, streaming data measured by Tubemogul and Nielsen BDS, social media consumption gauged by Next Big Sound and tour grosses tracked by Billboard Boxscore. Finalists and winners are determined by chart performance and social and streaming activity as chronicled in Billboard magazine and on Billboard.com during the eligibility period of Feb, 28, 2010 and Mar. 1, 2011.
