1. Britney Spears (45% of the vote)

Britney Spears and Lady Gaga proved the ultimate pop music divas in Billboard.com's Mid-Year Music Awards poll, which allowed fans to weigh in on their favorite songs, albums and performances of the first half of 2011 over the past week. Once the hundreds of thousands of votes were tallied after voting ended on Wednesday (July 6), the pop icons were declared the top candidate in a combined seven categories, with Spears edging Gaga in the First-Half MVP tally.

The singer's cheeky clip for "I Wanna Go" was also voted Best Music Video, and her recently started Femme Fatale tour was voted Best Tour.
