Lollapalooza 2011: OK Go's Damian Kulash Spills on Muppets Music Video

OK Go's live show often find its members rocking bright suits, each in a different color, but now the L.A. band is going green -- for Kermit. Catching up at the Billboard tent backstage at Lollapalooza, where OK Go played a chatty early-evening set, frontman Damian Kulash revealed that the band's next music video will include the Muppets.

The upcoming clip accompanies the band's "twisted, kind of dark" variation on the "Muppet Show Theme," which OK Go recorded for the forthcoming "Muppets: The Green Album" compilation (out Aug. 23). "We played President Obama's birthday party this week, and while I love the president, I gotta say, I'm even more excited about making a video with the Muppets," says Kulash.

The band keeps busy on their consistently creative, groundbreaking music videos, including the interactive clip for "All Is Not Lost," which premiered last week. Check out the video, where Kulash also explains his band's process for creating videos in our Lolla video interview, dishes on the 20-year legacy of Lollapalooza, and relives the emotional moment when he first met a muppet.
