Galactic, Cracker, Travis Tritt On Board For Free Green Apple Festival Shows

Galactic, Cracker, Travis Tritt and Soulive are among the artists who will play free "Green Apple Thank You Concerts" in various venues in ten different cities on Earth Day (April 19). The concert audiences will be filled entirely with volunteers who participate in simultaneous environmental volunteer actions that weekend.

Each artist performing a Green Apple concert will play "with friends."

A flagship concert in Washignton, D.C., "Earth Day On The Mall," will be held the same day. The lineup for that event will be announced soon.

Now in its fourth year, 2008's Green Apple Festival expanded to eight cities and drew more than 200,000 people to participate in volunteer events and attend the free concerts.

Volunteer events in each participating city are listed at www.greenapplefestival.com. Fans interested in attending the concerts can sing up to participate in a volunteer project at www.PlanetGreen.com. The actions, which seek to bring together active lifestyle activities with green solutions, include work on tree plantings, urban gardens, water protection, and more.
