Waxploitation Records is set to release its second Darfur benefit compilation, "Causes 2," on May 5. The fifteen song set culls rare and exclusive songs from a wide degree of artists, including Gnarls Barkley, My Morning Jacket, LCD Soundsystem, and Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings. 100% of the proceeds are being distributed to Doctors Without Borders, Human Rights Watch and Oxfam America in relation to their work with Darfur.

"A lot of thought goes into the artists we pick. We've been trying to be loyal to the audience we aim to please," Waxploitation founder Jeff Antebi tells Billboard.com. "At the same time, pick music that is as broad a spectrum as possible, without trying to be all things to all music fans. Hopefully we are adventurous enough to create excitement."

As exclusivity is one of the key points to getting fans to sit up and take notice of charity compilations, stand outs on this one include LCD Soundsystem's "Starry Eyes Original," Matthew Dear's "When She Don't Need Me," and VHS or Beta's dance remix of My Morning Jacket's "Highly Suspicious."

Adult Swim fans will also be pleasantly surprised, as the album closes with Tim and Eric's (from /Tim & Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!/) "Petite Feet" being remixed by Devlin and Ghostdad. "I think this was the most interesting," Antebi says. "Clearly picking a song with a comedic element to it is risky. And doubly risky doing a remix of it since you just never know what the remix is going to be."

"Causes 1", which featured The Shins, The Cure, The Black Keys and Death Cab For Cutie was able to donate over $100,000 to the three charities, according to Antebi. The compilation reached No. 46 on Billboard's Top Independent Albums Chart. "Causes 2" will be available in both physical and digital formats.

"'Darfur' is a word that a lot of people recognize, but to many people, it's kind of abstract," Antebi says of the purpose of these compilations. "Maybe someone hears 'Darfur' five times and ignores it, but Causes creates that sixth time where they take note. That's all we can really ask. To help keep the word 'Darfur' on people's minds."
