Brad Paisley, Taylor Swift, Keith Urban Lead CMA Awards Nominations

Brad Paisley leads the nominees for the 43rd annual CMA Awards with six nominations, while Taylor Swift, Keith Urban and several other country stars follow closely with four nods each, it was announced today (Sept. 9).

Paisley, who is also set to co-host the Nov. 11 ceremony with Carrie Underwood, will vie for entertainer of the year, male vocalist of the year, album of the year, single of the year, song of the year, and music video of the year. The singer's latest album, "American Saturday Night," debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 in June and has sold 313,000 copies, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

On Paisley's heels are Taylor Swift, Keith Urban, George Strait, Jamey Johnson and Zac Brown Brown, with four nominations apiece. Swift is up for female vocalist of the year and will go head to head with Paisley for entertainer, album and music video of the year.

The CMA Awards will be broadcast live on ABC live from Nashville, Tenn.
