French indie rockers Phoenix have announced a string of new U.S. tour dates set to begin in August. The short trek will be in support of the group's most recent release, "Bankrupt!", which has debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 in April.
While the band will be performing at some of the nation's top venues in the next coming months, Phoenix has already made a lasting impression in America in 2013. The group performed at the legendary Apollo Theatre in New York, played their new single "Entertainment" on "Saturday Night Live," and even shared the stage with R. Kelly to a rendition of their smash hit, "1901," at this year's Coachella Music and Arts Festival.
Returning to festival stage, the first leg on Phoenix's tour will be headlining this year's Lollapalooza in Chicago. The rest of the tour will feature support from Dinosaur Jr., The Vaccines, and Icky Blossoms. Tickets go on sale on Friday, June 14 at 1 p.m. EDT.
