A new, eco-friendly music festival will debut this September at Arrington, VA's Oak Ridge Farm.
Set to run Sept. 5-8, Interlocken Music Festival will make its debut featuring jam fan-friendly acts like Neil Young & Crazy Horse, Furthur (featuring members of the Grateful Dead), Zac Brown, the String Cheese Incident, and the Black Crowes.
More bands will be announced soon, but don't expect too many more. The fest's organizers (music industry veterans Dave Frey and Peter Shapiro) are placing quality above quantity, and want to assure that fans get plenty of time with each act.
The fest will feature two main stages, which will feature alternating two-hour sets, each one starting just after the other ends. Also, many of the main acts will play different sets on multiple days.
Artist pre-sale tickets go on sale May 22 and general "early bird" tickets become available the next day. More ticketing information is available here, on Interlocken's official site.
Attendees will have the option to camp on-site, enjoying the background of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
