Lana Del Rey has returned with “Chelsea Hotel No. 2,” a placid vocals-and-acoustic guitar cover of Leonard Cohen’s ‘70s ballad.

The clip should connect with the many fans who Del Rey won-over with “Video Games.” This new video captures a similar hazy nostalgia, a flickering Super 8 tribute to an era long gone.

Del Rey dropped the news overnight with a simple two word message – “new video” -- on her Twitter account.

Cohen’s original song recalls a sexual encounter at New York's famous Chelsea Hotel. The song went on to appear on Cohen's fourth album “New Skin for the Old Ceremony,” released in 1974. Cohen outted Janis Joplin as his lover in the song, but he later regretted spilling the beans on their intimate moment.
