As if "Marcus Mumford joins a motorcycle gang" wasn't already a strong-enough concept for a music video, Mumford & Sons offer three extra plot lines in their new clip for "Whispers In The Dark," which premiered on Sunday (Mar. 10).
Have you ever wondered how the various members of Mumford & Sons make their way to their sold-out arena shows? The "Whispers In The Dark" clip sheds some light, showing Mumford going all "Rebel Without a Cause," Ben Lovett asleep in a parking lot, Winston Marshall getting fitted with some fake facial hair and Ted Dwane gazing wistfully at the sea before heading over to his show.
"Whispers In The Dark" is the latest single from Mumford & Sons' sophomore LP "Babel," which won the Grammy for album of the year last month and has sold 2 million copies to date, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The album's lead single, "I Will Wait," is still going strong, clocking in at No. 19 on this week's Hot 100 chart.
Mumford & Sons will continue its European tour on Monday night (Mar. 11) in Munich, before heading back to the States in May. The band is set to headline one night of the 2013 Bonnaroo festival in Manchester, Tenn.
