Eagles of Death Metal and the Pharcyde will also be among the many acts at Ray's Austin events.
Rachael Ray will, as usual, be cooking in a big way at this year's South By Southwest Music + Media Conference in Austin, Texas.
Kenny Loggins and his new band, Blue Sky Riders, will both perform at Ray's sixth annual Feedback concert and party, taking place Saturday, March 16 for the fourth year at Stubb's. Loggins will play a half-hour set with Blue Sky Riders and then another of his own hits, joining an already potent lineup that includes Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Eagles of Death Metal, Frightened Rabbit, Delta Rae, the Sheepdogs, ZZ Ward, The 1975, Pujol and Spirit Family Reunion. Annual attendees Bob Schneider and The Cringe, fronted by Ray's husband John Cusimano (and usually joined by ZZ Top's Billy Gibbons) will also perform, while the Panther marching band from Austin's Eastside Memorial High School will open the six-hour event.
The 2012 Feedback drew about 5,000 fans, most of whom organizers estimate stayed for the entire time. This year's event has received more than 20,000 public RSVPs so far.
Ray is also expanding her invitation-only VIP Feedback installation this year, with four days (March 13-16) of music and food at Bangers Sausage House & Beer Garden. Some 40 acts are planning to play there during the span, including the Pharcyde, Butch Walker, Matt Nathanson and Gus + Scout, the son and daughter of actors Bruce Willis and Demi Moore. In addition to her seven-hour smoked brisket, Ray also solicited recipes from musicians and will be serving dishes submitted by Fitz & the Tantrums's Noelle Scaggs (Le Petite FATT), Johnny Fitz (Lil' Fritters), OK Go's Damian Kulash (Four Horsemen Chili with Mini Jalapeno Corn Muffin) and the team from Third Man Records (The Sweet Hitchhiker). Corndog and cornhole competitions will be held each day.
