Jason Marsalis, 'In A World of Mallets': Exclusive Album Premiere

Listen to the jazz veteran's new full-length one week before its release.

New Orlean jazz great Jason Marsalis has returned as a band leader and vibraphonist on his rollicking new album, "In A World of Mallets." The self-produced full-length is due out on Feb. 19 through Basin Street Records, but stream the entire album one week early, exclusively on Billboard.com:

Marsalis, the 35-year-old brother of Wynton, Delfeayo and Branford Marsalis, recently toured with Bela Fleck and Marcus Roberts  after spending over a decade as a staple on the New Orleans jazz scene. Recorded in New Orleans, "In A World of Mallets" is Marsalis' third album on Basin Street Records, and his first with his current band, the Jason Marsalis Vibes Quartet.

Following the album release, Marsalis will embark on a tour of North America, beginning with a show in Cleveland Heights on Feb. 19. Check out all of his tour dates below:
