Coachella Expansion Aims to 'Create More Room' for Fans, Says Fest Founder
Marcus Mumford of Mumford & Sons performs on stage during the second day of Coachella Valley Music Festival on April 16, 2011.

Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Vampire Weekend, Azealia Banks also performing at Washington fest.

The 2013 Sasquatch! Music Festival lineup was revealed on Tuesday (Feb. 5), with folk-rock stars Mumford & Sons, the reunited Postal Service and quick-rising rap act Macklemore & Ryan Lewis topping this year's bill. The alternative music extravaganza will once again be held at the Gorge Amphitheater in George, Wash., and will run from May 24-27 this year.

Mumford & Sons last played Sasquatch! in 2010, when they played earlier in the day ahead of headliners My Morning Jacket. After scoring a handful of Grammy nominations and last year's second-biggest debut sales week for a new album ("Babel" started with 600,000 copies sold, according to Nielsen SoundScan), Marcus Mumford and co. have earned top billing.

The last time the Postal Service, the electro-pop duo of Ben Gibbard and Jimmy Tamborello, performed at the annual festival was in its third year, way back in 2004; however, Gibbard's other band, Death Cab For Cutie, has played Sasquatch! four times, most recently performing as a headliner in 2011. On Monday, the Postal Service rolled out the details of its first proper tour since 2003, which will include previously announced stops at Coachella and Primavera festivals.

Macklemore & Ryan Lewis also played the 2011 version of Sasquatch! in 2011, albeit in front of a much smaller crowd than the duo will garner this year. The Seattle rapper-producer combo watched its hit single "Thrift Shop" spend a second straight week atop the Hot 100 last week.

Other notable artists rounding out the 2013 Sasquatch! Music Festival lineup include "Ho Hey" auteurs the Lumineers; Black Hippy rappers ScHoolboy Q & Ab-Soul; indie rockers Vampire Weekend, who will be releasing a new album in May; and recent Mercury Music Prize winners Alt-J. As always, Sasquatch! will include a comedy lineup, which includes Nick Offerman, Brett Gelman, Jenny Slate and Mike Birbiglia this year.

Festival passes will go one sale on Saturday (Feb. 9) at 10 am PT. Last year's Sasquatch! Music Festival was topped by Bon Iver, Beck and Jack White.
