Frank Ocean Won't Press Charges Against Chris Brown for Alleged Fight

The singer chooses forgiveness over court.

The public relations nightmare that is Chris Brown, 23, dodged another bullet yesterday.

Amid rumors that the pop star, who has abuse – both verbal and physical – to credit for monumental career setbacks, got into an all-out brawl last week outside of Westlake Recording Studios in Los Angeles, California with Grammy-nominated artist Frank Ocean, 25, the alleged victim announced that he will not press charges.

"As a child I thought if someone jumped me it would result in me murdering or mutilating a man. But as a man I am not a killer," he says in a thoughtful note written in his usual all-caps fashion on his Tumblr page. "I'm an artist and a modern person. I'll choose sanity. No criminal charges. No civil lawsuit. Forgiveness, albeit difficult, is wisdom. Peace, albeit trite, is what I want in my short life. Peace."

The fight allegedly started because of an argument over a parking spot.
