An L.A. county sheriff's spokesman says the "Channel Orange" star will look to press charges

Frank Ocean is looking to press charges after an alleged fight with Chris Brown, according to Los Angeles County Sheriff's spokesman Steve Whitmore.

Whitemore told Reuters that the R&B star, who tweeted on Sunday night that he was "jumped by Chris and a couple guys," "is desirous of prosecution in this incident."

Brown has yet to comment on the incident. He hasn't tweeted since Jan. 25. The "Fortune" singer remains under five years' probation following his 2009 assault on then-girlfriend Rihanna.

Frank Ocean Says He Got 'Jumped' by Chris Brown

Earlier, sheriff's deputies described the Sunday evening incident as a fight between six men. According to witness reports, Brown allegedly punched Ocean.

In 2012, Brown and rapper Drake were linked to a nightclub tussle in New York's W.i.P, though no charges were filed. Ocean had his own run-in with police on New Year's Eve last year, cited for speeding, a suspended license and marijuana possession after reportedly driving around 90 MPH in Mono County, Calif.

On Sunday night, Ocean added that now he "can't play [with] two hands at the grammys" after cutting his finger. He's been nominated in a ceremony-leading six categories at the Feb. 10 awards show, including Album of the Year, Best New Artist and Record of the Year.
