Young Money rapper Lil Twist was reportedly behind the wheel of Justin Bieber's Ferrari sports car when a paparazzo tailing the vehicle was hit by a car and killed on Tuesday night (Jan. 1).
According to TMZ, the 19-year-old hip-hop artist was with Bieber at the Four Seasons in Beverly Hills on Tuesday afternoon, one day after Bieber performed on "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve" special from Hollywood. Lil Twist (real name: Christopher Moore) left the hotel in Bieber's white Ferrari without the pop star later that evening.
Los Angeles police officer Rudy Lopez earlier told the Los Angeles Times that a friend of Bieber's was driving the car when it was pulled over for a traffic stop. The photographer arrived and was struck by a car as he returned to his own car. The man died at a hospital Tuesday evening.
Lil Twist was featured on Lil Wayne's I Am Still Music tour in 2011 and is considered one of the rising young stars of the hip-hop imprint. The rapper and Bieber have reportedly become close friends over the past few months.
A rep for Lil Twist tells TMZ that the rapper did not witness the accident but sends his thoughts and prayers to the family of the photographer.
