First single "Our Velocity" is due March 19.
As previously reported, the album was produced by Gil Norton (Pixies, Foo Fighters) and includes a couple of songs ("Nosebleed," opener "Girls Who Play Guitars") that have been around since writing sessions for Maximo Park's 2005 debut, "A Certain Trigger."
Frontman Paul Smith told Billboard.com in October he revisited themes he began exploring on the last album. "I don't feel like I've changed particularly," he said. "I've seen more things. I've seen more places. I'm more educated about the world, [but] it's that same person who wrote the first lyrics."
Maximo Park's lone tour dates at present are Thursday (Jan. 25) in Moscow, two days later in Istanbul, a hometown show in Newcastle, England, on Feb. 20 and a show the following night in London as part of the ShockWaves NME Awards Show.
Here is the track list for "Our Earthly Pleasures":
"Girls Who Play Guitars"
"Books From Boxes"
"By the Monument"
"A Fortnight's Time"
"Sandblasted and Set Free"
