Crooner Rufus Wainwright is eyeing a May release for his next Geffen album, "Release the Stars." The 12-song set was executive produced by Pet Shop Boys principal Neil Tennant and boasts guest appearances by folk legend Richard Thompson, Joan Wasser and actress Sian Phillips.

"Release the Stars" is the follow-up to 2004's "Want Two," which managed just a No. 103 showing on The Billboard 200. Its 2003 predecessor, "Want One," peaked at No. 60 on the chart.

Of late, Wainwright has indulged in recreating Judy Garland's famed 1961 concert at New York's Carnegie Hall, which he will perform later this month in London and Paris. On Sept. 23, the artist will duplicate another notable Garland concert at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles with a show at that same venue.

Here is the track list for "Release the Stars":

"Do I Disappoint You"
"Going to a Town"
"Tiergarten"
"Nobody's Off the Hook"
"Between My Legs"
"Rules and Regulations"
"I'm Not Ready to Love"
"Slideshow"
"Tulsa"
"Leaving for Paris"
"Sanssouci"
"Release the Stars"
