Rapper Fabolous has set a March 27 release for his Def Jam debut, "From Nothin' to Somethin'," which was originally expected before the end of 2006 and then this month. The first single is "Diamonds" featuring Young Jeezy; the album also features contributions from Ne-Yo and Timbaland on "Make Me Better" and producer Jazze Pha.

Fabolous was previously aligned with Elektra and Atlantic; he hasn't released a new studio album since "Real Talk" in 2004. That set debuted at No. 6 on The Billboard 200 and spawned the hit single "Breathe," which reached No. 2 on Hot Rap Tracks and No. 10 on the Hot 100.

It has sold 550,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

Since then, he's turned up as a guest on albums from Jennifer Lopez, Syleena Johnson, Christina Milian and longtime mentor DJ Clue.
