Ween, Dr. John's Night Tripper and Gov't Mule are among the acts set for the annual Superfly During Jazzfest concert series. The shows run from April 28 to May 5 at a host of New Orleans venues, concurrent with the city's Jazz & Heritage Festival.

Ween and the Dirty Dozen Brass Band will share a May 4 bill at the renovated Contemporary Arts Center, while Dr. John and Gov't Mule will play there the following evening.

The bill also includes the Radiators (April 28), the Greyboy Allstars (May 4) and the North Mississippi Allstars (May 5) on the Riverboat Cajun Queen.

In related news, Ween is making steady progress on its first studio album since 2003's "Quebec," which it is recording in a renovated farmhouse in Pennsylvania with producer Andrew Weiss. "We have picked 20 or so for the album and are now re-recording them in the living room," guitarist Mickey "Dean Ween" Melchiondo writes on the band's Web site. "I don't wanna give too much away about the record, but I will say that the brown meter is in the red."
