Wilco will begin its first batch of North American touring in support of its May 15 Nonesuch album "Sky Blue Sky" with a June 13 show in Davenport, Iowa. Dates are on the books through June 30 in Toronto but more will be added in the coming days.
Afterward, the band will visit Europe for a handful of festivals. Beginning in mid-August and stretching into September, Wilco will embark on a more extensive tour of the United States and Canada, manager Tony Margherita tells Billboard.com.
The first dates on the band's schedule are in Australia, beginning April 16 in Brisbane. At those shows, Wilco will debut the handful of "Sky Blue Sky" tracks that have yet to be played live, including "You Are My Face," "Hate It Here" and "Leave Me (Like You Found Me)."
Over the weekend, the band also announced that "Sky Blue Sky" would be available in a deluxe edition with a bonus DVD. On the latter disc will be the 48-minute documentary "Shake It Off," directed by Brendan Canty and Christoph Green ("Burn To Shine," "Jeff Tweedy: Sunken Treasure"). The film sports performances of sevn album tracks at Wilco's Chicago loft plus a Tweedy solo version of "Please Be Patient With Me."
