Avril Lavigne's "Girlfriend" achieves a new peak with a 6-3 move; the song has resided in the top 10 during each of its seven chart weeks.
Fergie's "Glamorous" featuring Ludacris holds at No. 4, while Gwen Stefani's "The Sweet Escape" featuring Akon is down 3-5 and Mims' "This Is Why I'm Hot" slips 5-6. T-Pain's "Buy U a Drank (Shawty Snappin')" featuring Yung Joc rises 10-7 and is the chart's greatest gainer in digital sales and airplay, the first song to earn that double award since Beyonce's "Irreplaceable" in December.
Another Beyonce song, "Beautiful Liar" with Shakira, inches up 9-8 this week, while the Hot 100's top 10 is rounded out by Gym Class Heroes' "Cupid's Chokehold" featuring Patrick Stump (8-9) and Diddy's "Last Night" featuring Keyshia Cole (11-10).
Carrie Underwood's "Before He Cheats" climbs 22-15 in its 33rd week on the Hot 100, the slowest climb to this level in the chart's history. The Hot 100's top debut is Fall Out Boy's "Thanks Fr The Mmrs" at No. 67; "This Ain't a Scene, It's an Arms Race," the prior single from its Island album "Infinity on High," is No. 38 in its 13th week on the chart.
Other debuts this week include Justin Timberlake's "Summer Love" at No. 74, Brandi Carlile's "The Story" at No. 75 and Bjork's "Earth Intruders" at No. 84.
Robin Thicke is No. 1 on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs for a tenth week in a row with "Lost Without U." The T-Pain song is the greatest airplay gainer on the tally but holds at No. 4. Elsewhere on the chart, Eve's "Tambourine" debuts at No. 73. It's the lead single from her first album in five years, "Here I Am," due Aug. 7 from Geffen.
On Hot Country Songs, Carrie Underwood is No. 1 with "Wasted" for a second week, while Conjunto Primavera assumes the lead on Hot Latin Songs with "Ese," which moves 2-1 to end the reign of Juan Luis Guerra Y 440's "La Llave De Mi Corazon."
Linkin Park's "What I've Done" starts a second week at No. 1 on the Modern Rock chart, which also hosts the first singles chart appearance from Swedish rock act Peter Bjorn and John. The group's "Young Folks," which can currently be heard in a Cingular TV ad campaign, debuts at No. 37. On the Mainstream Rock chart, Breaking Benjamin's "Breath" is No. 1 for a sixth frame.
