Scottish singer/songwriter KT Tunstall is eyeing September for the release of her sophomore set "Drastic Fantastic" (Virgin), the follow-up to 2006's "Eye to the Telescope."

As previously reported, Tunstall has once again tapped producer Steve Osborne to helm the effort.

"The second album sort of feels like the next half of a book rather than a totally different book," Tunstall told Billboard.com in last September. "I'm really excited about that because the first album was made in the middle of the country, so I'm now looking at making an album in London. I think the city will always find its way under the door of the studio and imbed itself in what you're doing."

Tunstall is currently scheduled to play an outdoor concert for NBC's "Today" show July 13 at Rockefeller Center in New York and at WBOS' Earthfest on May 26 in Boston. She will be performing alongside the Police, Smashing Pumpkins and Kanye West at Live Earth July 7 at Giants Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J.

"Eye to the Telescope," which features songs like "Black Horse and the Cherry Tree" and "Suddenly I See," has sold 1,037,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
