Indigo Girls, My Morning Jacket's Jim James and OK Go's Damian Kulash will perform at a May 27 concert at New Orleans' Tipitina's. Proceeds from the show, presented by the Future of Music Coalition and Air Traffic Control, will benefit Sweet Home New Orleans, which is assisting New Orleans residents with housing needs post-Hurricane Katrina.

Also on the bill are Matt Nathanson, Mike Relm, Pamela Z, Al "Carnival Time" Johnson and Bonerama; the acts are expected to collaborate with one another thought the performance. Tickets are on sale now via Ticketweb.

New York Dolls, We Are Scientists, Matt & Kim, the Black Lips and Dr. Dog are among the first acts confirmed for the 2007 of the Siren Festival, to be held July 21 at New York's Coney Island. Lavender Diamond, the Detroit Cobras, Elvis Perkins and the Twilight Sad are also on the bill for the Village Voice-sponsored free show.

It is unclear if this will be the final Siren Fest at this location, as the Astroland amusement park in which it is held may be subject to demolition as part of new development in the area. Additional acts will be announced at a later date.

Dax Riggs is retiring the band name Deadboy & the Elephantmen and prepping the release of his solo debut, "We Sing of Only Blood or Love." Due Aug. 7 via Fat Possum, the 15-track set sports contributions from Chavez's Matt Sweeney and James Lo and deadboy touring musicians Alex Bergeron, Adam Clement and Sean Keating. Among the album cuts is a cover of Richard Thompson's "Wall of Death."

Riggs will premiere new material during a short run of club shows next month, which comprise June 11 in Philadelphia (the Kyber), June 12 in Hoboken, N.J. (Maxwell's), June 13 in New York (Mercury Lounge), June 15 in Detroit (Lager House) and June 16 in Chicago (Schuba's).
