Stevie Wonder and soul singers Erykah Badu and Jill Scott are among the guests on Queen Latifah's second album for Verve, "Trav'lin' Light." Due Sept. 25, the project was co-produced by Tommy LiPuma and Geffen Records chairman Ron Fair.

Although the track list has yet to be announced, "Trav'lin' Light" finds Latifah performing songs associated with such vocalists as Peggy Lee, Nina Simone, Roberta Fleck, Phoebe Snow, Etta James, Sarah Vaughn and Carmen McRae, among others.

Among the musicians backing Latifah on the album are keyboardists George Duke and Joe Sample, bassist Christian McBride and guitarist Anthony Wilson. Latifah will tour in support of the set this fall, with details to be announced.

"Trav'lin' Light" is the follow-up to 2004's "The Dana Owens Album," which has sold 701,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

Look for Latifah starring in the summer comedy "Hairspray" alongside John Travolta and Michelle Pfeifer. The film opens Friday (July 20) in U.S. theaters.
