James Taylor reveals the inspirations for and stories behind some of his biggest hits on the upcoming live CD/DVD set "One Man Band." The project is due in November via Starbucks' Hear Music label.

The CD was recorded during recent shows at the Colonial Theatre in the Berkshire mountains and includes such songs as "Something in the Way," "Carolina in my Mind," and "Fire and Rain."

The DVD portion was directed/produced by Don Mischer and filmmaker Sydney Pollack. It will feature interviews with the songwriter and previously unreleased home videos.

Taylor, whose last studio effort, 2002's "October Road," peaked at No. 4 on The Billboard 200, joins Paul McCartney and Joni Mitchell on Hear Music. According to a spokesperson, he is presently only aligned with the label for the release of "One Man Band."
