With four nominations, Justin Timberlake leads the field for the 14th annual MTV Europe Music Awards, to be held Nov. 1 at the Munich OlympiaHalle.

The artist, who hosted the 2006 MTV EMAs in Copenhagen, is in the running for the video star award for "What Goes Around ... Comes Around," the headliner award, ultimate urban act and solo artist of 2007.

Amy Winehouse, Avril Lavigne, Beyonce, Fall Out Boy, Linkin Park, My Chemical Romance, Nelly Furtado and Rihanna each garnered three nominations, which this year will be chosen entirely by public voting.

Lavigne and My Chemical Romance have been added to the list of performers, which already includes the Foo Fighters and Mika.

MTV has also unveiled the 18 semi-finalists for its New Sounds of Europe Award category, details for which are available at the MTV EMAs Web site or at handset manufacturer Sony Ericsson's online site.
