As has become his tradition, country veteran George Strait will embark on a U.S. tour early next year. The trek begins Jan. 10 in Austin, Texas, and will wrap March 7 in Lubbock, Texas. Little Big Town will support.

Strait is gearing up to release a new retrospective, "22 More Hits," due Nov. 13 via MCA Nashville. The track list for the project has yet to be announced.

As previously reported, Strait is tied for the lead with five nominations for the 2007 CMA Awards, to be handed out Nov. 7 in Nashville.
