As has become tradition, some of the biggest names in pop music will gather Dec. 14 for New York radio station Z100's Jingle Ball at Madison Square Garden. Confirmed to appear are Alicia Keys, Avril Lavigne, Backstreet Boys, Timbaland (with proteges OneRepublic and Keri Hilson), the Jonas Brothers, Jordin Sparks, Colbie Caillat and Boys Like Girls.

Tickets will be available exclusively to members of the station's ZVIP members starting Friday (Nov. 9). One dollar from the sale of each ticket will be donated to the charity Autism Speaks.

50 Cent will perform in India for the first time on Nov. 18 at Mumbai's 15,000 capacity MMRDA Grounds, promoters Oranjuice Entertainment said today. Tickets went on sale today priced at Rupees 600 and 1,000 ($15 and $25).

Mumbai-based Oranjuice partner V G Jairam comments, "We wanted to bring to India the biggest name in hip-hop and its great timing that 50 Cent's India concert follows his latest album release, 'Curtis'."

Oranjuice promoted Akon's debut India gig in New Delhi this October.

Bittorrent tracking site the Pirate Bay is promoting Swedish glam rock band Lamonte. A link to download the band's new album for free is front and center on the Pirate Bay homepage. The user is offered the album, videos and merch and MySpace links.

In the first 24 hours after the posting, the Pirate Bay claims the album was downloaded more than 100,000 times. No information is available about how the deal was reached, nor are there other details about the partnership.
