A memorial service and benefit concert will be held Sunday (Jan. 20) in Bloomington, Ind., for former Rogue Wave member Evan Farrell, who died Dec. 23 from injuries suffered in an apartment fire in Oakland, Calif.

The memorial will be held from 3-5 p.m. at the Buskirk-Chumley Theatre in Bloomington, where Farrell attended Indiana University and became an integral part of the local music scene.

A benefit concert will follow immediately afterward at the Bluebird Nightclub, featuring performance by Farrell's former bands the Hollows and the Japonize Elephants, as well as Kentucky Nightmare, Thousand Arrows, Drakkar Sauna and members of Crooked County.

Farrell's Rogue Wave bandmate, Gram LeBron, will also perform. A silent auction featuring items from local businesses, musicians and artists will raise funds for Farrell's wife, Jill, and his two young sons.
