'SEE YOU AGAIN' AND AGAIN

Keith,

Miley Cyrus' new single, "See You Again," off of the album "Hannah Montana 2/Meet Miley Cyrus," has been climbing a lot up the Billboard charts. Is Cyrus shooting a music video for it soon?

Also, are there any plans for her to release a new album this year, or next?

Lastly, how many copies has "Hannah Montana 2/Meet Miley Cyrus" sold? And how much did her concert gross?

BJay Jones

Hello BJay,

According to her publicist at Walt Disney Records, there are no current plans to film a music video for "See You Again." However, there are plans for a new Cyrus album to be released before the end of the year.

"Hannah Montana 2/Meet Miley Cyrus" has sold 2.7 million in the U.S.
according to Nielsen SoundScan. Her concert tour grossed a reported $54.4 million from 69 shows according to Billboard Box Score. Attendance for the tour was reported at 978,348.

SINGLED OUT

Hi Keith,

Kelly Clarkson's third studio album, "My December," was released last summer to disappointing sales. It was practically shunned by mainstream radio, and now it seems like the label is just going to scrap the entire album.

Personally, I think it is her best yet, but the mass audience does not seem to agree. In your opinion, do you think the label is going to release another single and what single off of the album do you think would do best in mainstream/top 40 radio.

Thank you,
Michael Lopez

Hi Michael,

Kelly Clarkson's publicist did not respond to our request for a comment by deadline, however, it's likely that the promotion of "My December" to U.S. radio has reached its natural conclusion.

Neither of "December's" two charting singles ("Never Again" and "Sober") wowed U.S. radio and both were also-rans on the Billboard charts.

Clarkson is wrapping up her tour with country queen Reba McEntire, which began on Jan. 17 in Dayton, Ohio.

SMALL-TIME 'MASSACRE'

Hi Keith,

I wanted to know how many copies has Duran Duran's "Red Carpet Massacre" sold worldwide? I read somewhere that it only sold 71,000 copies and I find that hard to believe. I will trust your answer.

Thank you so much,
Rosanna

Hi Rosanna,

Billboard and Nielsen SoundScan don't track global sales, so I can't provide you with a worldwide sales figure for "Red Carpet Massacre."

However, in the U.S., the set has sold 81,000.
