Dirty Projectors is a project of Dave Longstreth, a prolific musician and former Yale student whose lo-fi songwriting has garnered a devoted indie following. He has released five records since 2003 on labels such as Marriage, Western Vinyl and Dead Oceans.

Dirty Projectors received critical acclaim last year for "Rise Above," its "reimagining" of Black Flag's "Damaged." The band is presently preparing two releases at once, one of which will constitute its Domino debut in early 2009.

Dirty Projectors are playing a number of European shows this spring and summer, beginning Friday (April 25) at Scotland's Triptych Festival.
