Indie rock outfit Annuals will release its debut for Sony-distributed Canvasback Music, "Such Fun," on Oct. 7. The set was recorded in between the band's busy touring schedule with producer Jacquire King (Modest Mouse, Tom Waits).

Among the tracks appearing on "Such Fun" are "Confessor," "Hot Night Hounds," "Down the Mountain," "Always Do" and "Wake."

Annuals signed with Canvasback after releasing its critically acclaimed 2006 debut, "Be He Me," on the indie Ace Fu label. "There were other offers out there, but they didn't seem as motivated to work hard for us," frontman Adam Baker told Billboard last year. "[Canvasback] is a nice, small subsidiary, and appropriate for our career."

The group plans to hit the road this fall in support of the new project. So far the only date lined up is Sept. 5 in Raleigh, N.C.
