MTV Movie Awards Fashion: 5 Style Highlights

Although there weren’t many glittering gowns on the red carpet at last night’s (April 14) 2013 MTV Movie Awards, we did manage to learn five things from the quirky style at the show. From dark hippie getups to red fox fur and gold fringe, the best and worst in fashion emerged on the MTV red carpet. Check out the most fantastic -- and in some cases, questionable -- fashion choices below.

Hayley Williams Kept it Casual

Williams rocked an outfit that many of us can get our hands on. The singer paired a black cutout onesie from Zara with a bold striped shirt from Topshop. She added a pop of color to the look with her tangerine colored hair.

Macklemore Digs Capes with Gold Fringe

Macklemore stepped onto the carpet in a cobalt blue suit paired with a matching cape embellished with regal golden rope along the shoulders and hemline. Partner Ryan Lewis kept his look a bit more causal rocking jeans, a black leather jacket and a muted satin-finish color blocked shirt. The two later hit the MTV stage to perform their new single, "Can't Hold Us.”

Selena Gomez Rocked a Gold Leggy Look

Selena Gomez stunned on the red carpet in a long-sleeved Julien MacDonald mini-dress dripping in lace and fringe. For her beauty, Gomez rocked a braided pompadour, smoky grey eye shadow and nude colored lips. Gold fringe seemed to be a trending item at last night’s awards. She later took to the stage barefoot in a whimsical red creation performing her new track "Come and Get It."

Ke$ha Sported Dark Hippie Threads

Ke$ha, who was doing well with her style for a while, went back to her eclectic look in a vintage mixed fringe with lace number and sheer flower patterned pants. "Very '70s-inspired Manson child look," she said about her ensemble on the MTV red carpet. For beauty, the singer kept it dark with bold black eyeliner and dark plum colored lips. She also rocked rose rings that she designed herself with Charles Albert.

Snoop Dogg Got Pimpalicious on the Carpet

Snoop Dogg hit the carpet in a cool plaid shirt and grey trousers, paired with shades and a red fox fur jacket that would have made any ‘70s pimp proud. Is it just us or does it look like Ke$ha and Snoop coordinated outfits.
