Beyoncé has received eight nominations for the 2014 MTV VMAs, including a nod for Video of the Year for "Drunk In Love" with her husband Jay Z, as well as Best Female and Best Choreography for “Partition.” “Drunk in Love” is also up for Best Collaboration.

Eminem and Iggy Azalea secured seven nominations each while Pharrell Williams, Ariana Grande and Sia received three apiece. Azalea’s “Fancy” video, a homage to the film “Clueless,” is up for Video of the Year, a category that also features “Drunk in Love,” Williams’ “Happy,” Sia’s “Chandelier” and Miley Cyrus’ “Wrecking Ball.”

Jay Z, Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus, Lorde, Sam Smith, Zedd, Avicii, Jason Derulo and Hayley Williams received two nominations each. 

MTV revealed this year's nominations via its Snapchat account with an hour’s worth of snaps featuring Austin Mahone, Fifth Harmony, Becky G, and MTV talent. The network has opened online fan voting at vma.mtv.com. Nominees for a new socially voted category, “Best Lyric Video” will be announced at a later date on the VMA site.

Usher, 5 Seconds of Summer Added To MTV VMAs Lineup

The 31st edition of the MTV Video Music Awards will be held at the Forum in Inglewood, Calif., on Aug. 24 and air live on the East Coast.

Usher, Ariana Grande and 5 Seconds of Summer are confirmed to perform with additional talent being announced at a later date.
