Take a look at the winners in the major categories, and see how the Billboard.com staff did with their predictions, as well as the fans, who conveyed their picks in a pre-show poll.

"Wasting Light" - Foo Fighters: 1.7%
After Arcade Fire pulled off a shocking Album of the Year win at last year's Grammys, Adele's victory, which completed her Grammys sweep, was expected by pretty much everyone. The Billboard.com staff thought that Adele's sophomore album would win and should win Album of the Year, and so did the fans who voted in our poll: 40.9% thought Adele would be victorious, although Lady Gaga's "Born This Way" was close behind with 37.1%.

Much like the Album of the Year category, we thought Adele's No. 1 hit would cruise to a win, and that she deserved the victory. Fans also saw an Adele win here, with a whopping 54.6% voting for the first single from "21."

"The Cave" - Mumford & Sons: 2.8%
"Holocene" - Bon Iver: 2%
Although the Billboard.com staff thought that "Rolling in the Deep" was the strongest song of the five nominees, we forecasted an upset in Bruno Mars' favor. Yet Adele was not to be denied, and earned Song of the Year along with producer/writer Paul Epworth. Although we didn't see it coming, the fans sure did, with 59.5% going in the "Deep" direction and only 21.5% agreeing with our "Grenade" prediction.

In the only major surprise of the night, folk-rock act Bon Iver (aka Justin Vernon) stole the Best New Artist trophy from more well-known acts like Nicki Minaj and Skrillex. We thought Justin Vernon should win the award, but incorrectly saw a victory for country trio The Band Perry. The fans who voted in our poll also got it wrong, but in a different direction: 63.2% thought Minaj would emerge victorious, compared to only 9.5% for Bon Iver.

"F**kin Perfect" - Pink: 6%
Our staff predicted that Gaga would win one of her only major nominations for "You and I," but even Mother Monster couldn't slow down Adele's momentum. Once again, the fans got it right, as 35.1% were confident that Adele's somber ballad would get the win, compared to 28.4% for Gaga.

"Pumped Up Kicks" - Foster The People: 17.5%
"Body and Soul" - Tony Bennett & Amy Winehouse: 15%
"Dearest" - The Black Keys: 1.3%
A sentimental favorite, Tony Bennett and the late Amy Winehouse's collaboration for his "Duets II" album triumphed over younger artists like Coldplay and Foster The People, as we expected. The fans didn't see it coming, with over 47% of the voters leaning toward Maroon 5's "Moves Like Jagger" and only 15% going for the Bennett/Winehouse combo.
