Jessie J, Gloria Gaynor, Arturo Sandoval to Perform at Official Grammy After-Party
The Los Angeles Convention Center hosts the event immediately following the telecast.
The official Grammy Awards after-party will take place at the Los Angeles Convention Center on Sunday, Feb. 8 immediately following the main event, which is telecast from neighboring Staples Center in downtown L.A.
Singers Gloria Gaynor and Jessie J are set to perform at the fete, which will also feature Arturo Sandoval and members of the Grammy Camp Jazz Session. The night's theme is "Passport to the World" and promises two historical train station platforms, an opulent paddleboat, and hot air balloons in addition to dancers, acrobats, aerialists and elaborate visual projections.
Says Recording Academy president and CEO Neil Portnow: "The innovation surrounding this year's 'Passport To The World' theme will excite and capture the imagination of all in attendance."
Some 5,000 guests are exected to attend the event, which will be catered by Along Came Mary using locally grown meat, produce and cheese and sustainably produced seafood. Leftovers will be donated to local food banks and all cooking oil used for the event will also be recycled.
