Bob Newhart: My GRAMMY Moment

Before a new crop of GRAMMYs are handed out, hear from past winners about what it's like to receive the coveted honor.

Bob Newhart won three GRAMMYs: two for 1960's "The Button-Down Mind of Bob Newhart" (album of the year, comedy performance/spoken word), as well as best new artist.

BOB NEWHART: “I don't think I understood the impact. [Afterward] I was swept up by the events, totally unprepared. The normal track is doing standup for 20 years so you can do this or that. My career was in reverse. I did a variety show in '61 and '62 and then I had to learn my craft, learn how to be a standup."
