What was the highlight of the past year for you?

OneRepublic's Ryan Tedder: Selling out our European tour, the Hollywood Bowl, and Red Rocks.

What song from the past year do you wish you wrote?

Hozier's "Take Me to Church."

Was there a song you couldn't get out of your head (even if you tried)?

"Hey Brother" by Avicii.

Who really knocked it out of the park with either a music or a business move?

Avicii: folk + dance was gonna happen, and he did it FIRST.

Which artist that staged a comeback or finally get some overdue recognition really caught your attention?

Pharrell had biggest comeback in music history, in my opinion.

What was your favorite music-related meme or viral video?

My favorite video is anything by Rudimental.

Was there a trend you were happy to see or hear?

The trend back towards real songs and great, honest songwriting trumping flashy or overblown production.

Any trend you were unhappy to see or hear?

The folk "HEY!" Mumford-lite vibe has officially gotten out of hand. If I see another band "learn" banjo I'm gonna scream.

What are your favorite things to do in Vegas — high-roller or trashy (or both)?

My favorite thing to do in Vegas is stay at the Mandarin because there are NO casinos, THEN you get to visit the insanity without walking through it every time you want to eat. And I see [Cirque de Soleil's] "KA" every year, if possible.
