5 Seconds of Summer had no problem getting the audience dancing during their performance during the 2014 American Music Awards Sunday night (Nov. 23).

Surprisingly, the Australian pop-punk band eschewed performing their hit "She Looks So Perfect," or their ballad "Amnesia," and instead treated fans to a fan-favorite, a cover of "What I Like About You."

Luke Hemmings, Michael Clifford, Calum Hood, and Ashton Irwin rocked out during the high-energy song, as their fans have come to expect. They performed early in the show, and hadn't yet won any AMA awards, but the band is currently in contention for New Artist of the Year, to be announced later in the show.
