Ariana Grande, Nicki Minaj & Jessie J Drop 'Bang Bang' at 2014 AMAs
"Bang Bang" was one of the biggest songs of 2014 -- and also one of the most popular tracks to perform at various 2014 awards shows.
When Ariana Grande, Jessie J and Nicki Minaj brought their hit to the 2014 VMAs, they killed it -- despite Minaj's close call with a wardrobe malfunction. Then Grande brought "Bang Bang" to the CMA Awards with Little Big Town, wearing an outfit straight out of TRON.
So, how to make the song fresh again for the American Music Awards? Well, why not perform the first verse in the audience? Jessie J rocked her verse while sidling up to Khloe Kardashian, stroking Sam Smith's face and busting a move with Taylor Swift. Then Grande -- her legs extended toward the ceiling -- took over, followed by Minaj. The YMCMB rapper tore through her verse with a ferocity she definitely didn't bring to past performances of the hit.
We didn't think we needed to see "Bang Bang" again at a 2014 awards show. Obviously, we were wrong.
