Carlos Santana sat down for an interview and jam session with Wyclef Jean as part of Bang & Olufsen's The Living Room Tour sessions. In an exclusive excerpt for Billboard, Jean and Santana spoke about Woodstock ("Your set was insane," Wyclef tells Santana) and the groundbreaking sound Santana brought to that stage.

"We didn't know better," Santana says about his "Africana" fusion. "It's  about honoring the sacred rhythms that come from Africa."

Jean, who calls Santana "The Godfather," acted as host in a conversation that also covered Santana's legacy and influence on young artists, his new biography -- The Universal Tone -- and major events like his performance for the Black Panthers. Both men wore colorful shirts as they chatted in a "living room" setting with guitars and a fireplace in the background.

The Wyclef/Santana sit-down officially launches Bang & Olufsen's 2015 series with a first installment of the chat and jam session, which took place in Las Vegas, available online beginning Tuesday. More updates will be launched through the next two months.
