Maroon 5's "Misery" video takes the "crazy ex-girlfriend" stereotype to the extreme, as the band's dapper frontman Adam Levine is subjected to some serious forms of torture -- from minor offenses like slaps and head-butts to downright life-threatening stunts like knife-throwing and hit-and-runs.

Levine's woman, a Nicole Kidman look-alike who shows no mercy, practically steals the spotlight from Levine in the video, which just premiered on MTV and VH1. "Misery" itself wins out in the end though. The song just debuted at No. 44 on the Hot 100 and is set to climb higher thanks to this clip and the band's much more family-friendly performance of the track this morning on the "Today" show. So far, no injuries have been reported.
