Sheryl Crow Shows Us Her "Peaceful Feeling"

With her classic-soul-inpired new album "100 Miles From Memphis" out next week, Sheryl Crow has dropped this little minute-and-a-half long peek at the recording of "Peaceful Feeling" to whet fans' appetites, and she's neither shy about namechecking her old school favorites (Aretha Franklin, Otis Redding) nor about her pride in the album's sound. "It feels like that kind of cool southern, soul sexy record," she says in the video.

In the Billboard review, we said the album, which features collaborations with Justin Timberlake and Keith Richards, "comes by the soul flavor of her latest album honestly. '100 Miles From Memphis' finds Crow in a decidedly liberated and celebratory mind frame, stirring the sensibilities of the Stax, Motown and Hi empires into her own hybrid."
