Fantasia Performs First Show Post-Overdose

Fantasia Barrino isn't letting a bit of bad press keep her down.

A week after being hospitalized for an aspirin overdose, the season 3 "American Idol" champ made her first public performance at Charlotte Bobcats' Tyrus Thomas' birthday party. After singing "Happy Birthday" to the basketball player, Barrino decided to get comfortable and "do something old school" for the crowd.

"'I been in the house for a week so you know I'm bout to act ugly . . . When they said it was over for me, I'm here to say I'm back'" the singer told the crowd.

Once her back-up singers made it to the stage, Barrino started a medley of R&B hits including a veracious rendition of the Rufus and Chaka Kahn classic, "Tell Me Something Good."
